I have always said that one of the great traditions in the sports calendar of Indianapolis,

and there's a lot of great traditions, but on Labor Day weekend or at the beginning of September,

if you've never been to the U.S. nationals, and you've never watched in particular on Friday night in the evening

when like the flames shoot out of the top fuel cars and then the funny cars

are running and everything else and just you feel the sound of it. It's unbelievable and you

absolutely need to do it on August 28th through September 2nd. The NHRA US Nationals will be out

at Lucas Oil, Indianapolis Raceway Park and a guy who will be running his Dodge down the strip and whoever would have guessed, although my guess is that probably earlier than we would anticipate that this guy thought about being involved in that.

Okay, now let's begin with this. I think people still think

Tony Stewart and they think USAC and they think NASCAR and they think, you know, 96, Indy 500, first 20

laps and the whole deal. But then I go back and I think maybe we should have seen signs that

Tony Stewart would eventually find

his way into NHRA, maybe even like 20 years ago, guys, you're running against a

New SAC that you're now running against now, or visiting with co-sponsors in different areas

with Don Schumacher way back in the day. When did this all kind of come together?

Well, I think when we formed SHR, that was my first real in-depth opportunity to be in the

middle of drag racing.

And both Tony Schumacher was sponsored by U.S. Army, and we had the U.S. Army with

Ryan Newman on the Cupside.

So got invited as a guest to be with DSR at the nationals. And it was unbelievable. But I,
