Hey guys, welcome to another episode of Tommy Talk. And today I am diving into why the 90s

0:14.2

were the best. I think a lot of us are nostalgic for the 90s. And for me, this really

0:19.4

kicked into high gear because I'm watching the

0:21.3

new Ryan Murphy show called Love Story. And that's, of course, the love story between JFK and

0:26.7

Carolyn and we see how everything kind of unfolded. And the world is captivated. We want more.

0:32.9

I don't know about you, but I'm looking up photos of them and videos of them and I want to know

0:37.6

everything about their story. It's just mesmerizing. And of course, a lot of it takes place during

0:43.7

the 90s. So it's making people crave that time period. Now, I always thought the 90s were cool.

0:49.3

I'm a millennial. I grew up during the 90s. And there are so many things about the 90s that I love that I feel like we need to bring back,

0:57.7

or at least that we need to appreciate. Now, we can't bring everything back, but there are so many things

1:02.6

that just make you crave that nostalgia from the 90s. I know you feel me. So the first thing that

1:09.3

comes to mind when I think of the 90s is the innocence of it

1:13.2

all i remember going outside to play from morning to night on a weekend whether it was manhine or

1:19.9

tag or putting plays on in the middle of our courtyard where we lived i mean our parents would be like

1:26.1

go outside and we'll see you for dinner and that's just how how it was. We weren't sitting in front of devices all day. We were playing with the neighbors and our cousins and our friends. And it was so much fun just to be outside, getting our hands and feet dirty in nature. I miss it. I miss it. Obviously, as an adult, like with, you know, a job. We're not outside doing that as much.

1:46.7

But I just, oh, I crave and long for those days because they were so much fun. And the innocence of just going out and using your imagination and having fun all day, it really was a special thing that we had that this generation had and millennials and above had right that

2:02.3

I don't think all of gen z really gets to experience as much because of the tech you know consuming our

2:08.3

lives so it was really just a fun time for that such innocence and then of course I feel like

2:15.4

it's the last decade where we truly were disconnected from social media and the internet.

2:21.3

We had tools like computers, right?

2:24.3

And they were starting to come into play.
