You do with so many different personalities while living in the studio.

How do you remain even-kill?

How do I remain so even-kill dealing with different personalities in the studio?

One thing about engineering and most great engineers will tell you the same thing.

Engineering is a field of 10% technical skills, 90% people skills, especially when you're

dealing with creatives.

Because the whole thing is you're juggling egos.

At the same time you're juggling egos, you're also trying to make everyone that's creating

and contributing to the record as comfortable as possible.

Because the more vulnerable you can have an artist be, the better, the more authentic

their delivery, their performance, the art is because they're vulnerable.

They're allowing themselves to be vulnerable.

So for me as an engineer, I always say, I'm even-kill because, A, I have to juggle so many

different personalities and make people comfortable, but at the same time I still have to be present

enough to capture that lightning in a jar and be able to make sure that they can be vulnerable,

and they can be creative and not have to worry about anything but being vulnerable and creative.

How do you approach a mix mentally without being burnt out from the constant demand of your talent?

I approach every mix pretty much the same way.

And that is usually- that is with a conversation with the artist and the producer if I can,

but if I just- for whatever reason I'm not in communication with the artist or the producer,
