It's a big week, both on the field and off. Some wild news last night in the middle of, coming at the end of two great days for the Braves. We were in the middle of a four game, crucial four game series against the Mets. But before we get into that and how it's started so far, which is swimmingly, the biggest news of the week, potentially, is that Michael Harris II is now in Atlanta Brave

for the next eight years, at least potentially 10 years.

He signed an eight-year, $72 million contract, I believe,

with club options for two years after that at $15 and $20 million. Right. Yep. Yeah, it's a good

contract for both sides, to be honest, because Harris will be, one, he's going to make almost the same amount of money over the first eight years of this contract.

Because arbitration will be like he's this valuable.

So he's not eligible for arbitration until 2026.

Okay.

Because he's not going to have a full year of service time this year, which means...

We did not manipulate that, by the way. No, it just happened that way. Yeah, it wasn't like a Chris Bryant situation.

Yeah, yeah. No, so he's, he'll play 23, 24, and 25 on arbitration, which means, well, I'm going to tell you exactly how this breaks down here in a second,

but wouldn't be eligible for arbitration until 26, and even if he is a perennial all-star by then,

like Juan Soto, for example, Juan Soto in his first year of arbitration, I believe, got $8 million.

Right.

So it's not like you jump all the way up.

He got eight, and then he got 18 the second year.

And Trey Turner was on the same trajectory.
