Tom versus the Secret Society's Supervillains number 11 or it's time to change from a Floronic boy

into a Floronic man.

Welcome back for the Secret Society of Supervillains Number 11 in December, 1977 issue, feature a cover by Rich Buckler.

Our story for today, a changing of the guard, written by Jerry Conway, penciled by Mike Vosberg, inked by Joe Orlando, lettered by Ben Oda, colored by Jerry Serp, with the issue being edited by Jack Harris.

We begin, Gorilla City, beautiful day, weather's great. The type of day you want to spend in an open jail cell, which is where a gorilla grot is, as a matter of fact, parked in front of the hypnosis machine that keeps them locked in place. But if you're going to be locked in place with hypnosis, having an open jail cell that breeze, it's great napping weather, but Grod is not

napping. Grad is fuming, filled with hate like he always is, thinking back conveniently for us to

everything that's happened in recent issues. Star Sapphire and the creeper kidnapping Gene Loring,

the human disaster. Grad trying to use Gene Loring to blackmail

the earth, and he tried making his own secret society. He lost both times, always losing.

But, well, he's full of hate. He doesn't seem bitter, which is a very fine line to draw on a comic

book. It's like, yes, he's filled a thing. He's not bitter, though. No. Once again, this all seems to be going to Grodd's plan. Does anything ever not go to Grod's plan? We'll get into this a little bit later as well. But this seems to be a running theme, which is like, don't worry. Yeah, growled loses every issue, but that's all according to plan.

Three, well, I'm, oh, it's tough to read this type sometimes.

Sinister said it all.

Funky Flashman working the computers when giant plant branches come wrapping around the corner,

tying up funky.

He starts freaking out saying you'll do whatever the person says.

Funky Flashman, not brave.

Of course, it's Floronic Man, who's returned with Star-Saphyr.

They escaped from Gorilla City when Grod got caught.

They're looking for someplace to hang, like a place to keep their stuff.

Floronic Man's got a sweet laser disc collection.
