Tom versus the JLA, number 259, or being in the league means you never have to say you're sorry to the person that you should say sorry to.

This would be Chapter 9 in the Giant Legends crossover in part two of the death of the Justice League of America. Well, the end of the Justice League America, I should say. It was the death of

vibe in the last issue and that's where we start off vibes, cold dead body lying on the streets

of the South Bronx, face covered with the mask of Dr. Ivo, the reptilian mad scientist who

blames the league for all of his problems. He's a real finger pointer. And what Ivo doesn't

realize says when he points a finger at the

league, he's pointing three back at himself. Does he learn that lesson in this issue? I kindly man on the

street wearing a fashionable hat. No headband, though. Suspicious. Sort of hovering around

vibes body, wondering what's going on when the league shows up.

He's a little scared.

You got to remember at this time, Darkside has a plan to make all the heroes look like bad guys,

so normal citizens are actually afraid of superhero, something a little different for the DC universe.

Marsh Manor is trying to calm the guy down.

A vixen, though, a little angry.

Maybe she might want to focus that, not at the guy who just happens to be standing by a vibe's dead body. She demands to know what has happened, grabs him by the throat, starts choking him. He's sweating profusely, as I would in this situation. He's asking for her not to kill him.

That's right.

This is where we've gone with the league.

We've got the league scaring people to a point where they think that they're going to kill him.

Steal, though, voice of reason, says that Vixen needs to calm down.

That G. Gordon Godfrey, secretly one of the evil new gods, glorious Godfrey, has got everyone all worked up against heroes and that she shouldn't prove them right about them. Of course, she lets him go. She turns and apologizes to steal, and I assume

the guy runs away. If I'm vixen, I apologize to the kindly man who I just almost choked out on

the street in the South of Pragues.
