Tom versus the JLA number 245 or Chasing Tail Through Time.

Welcome back for Justice League of America, number 245, the December 1985 issueing titled

The Wrong Road to Home, written by Jay Conway, penciled by Luke MacDonald, inked by Mike

Maclin, the colorist, blank, they didn't print it, who knows, I don't know, I can't see it in

my issue, lettered by Albert de Guzman, edited by Andrew Helfer. Cover artists are Luke MacDonald and Bill Ray. This issue is a

Crisis on Infinite Earth's crossover issue, though, and only the barest sense of the word.

It's just the loosest association, but it's one of my favorite weird comics of

all time. It deals mostly with Steele and him having sex at the end of time. Hinted. Hinted at.

You don't see anything, but it's hinted. It's implied. So we open with Steel walking across some

sort of barren landscape in some sort of grant

Morrison-esque fever dream state there's a moon in the sky it's broken we see tears

running down steel's face no surprise his uniforms and tatters something has happened

something crisis like he falls to the ground sweating and shaking when all of a

sudden he hears the chittering of

bugs, giant bugs crawling out of a crevasse, hoping to drag him down into it. These are

Dylan-esque insects, and that they're just gigantic bugs. So your classic comic book giant

bugs, you know, just big locust.

Steele's not one to take a fight lying down, so he's throwing, he's throwing some bows in there.

We cut a way to see that steel is being observed by some shadowy figures who are dressed all

in gold and are discussing the fact that Steele might disrupt their plans.

So in an effort to sort of forestall any problems that steel is going to cause, they want to capture him alive.

Problem. They send a killer bot. Now, I don't know if killer is a brand of robot that they got,
