Tom versus the JLA number 243 or Aquaman hates Canada.

Welcome back for Justice League of America number 243, the October 1985 issue entitled Storm Clouds,

letter, Gene DeAngelo, colorist, Alan Gold, editor featuring a cover by Chuck Patton and Mike Macklin.

We opened this issue with Aquaman and Mara sneaking in the Justice League headquarters.

If you remember from last issue, they have recently reunited.

They ended last issue making it out in the back of a whale, one of the hottest places to hook up with a lady if you ask me. Aquaman's complaining

a bit about the alarm system. There are no alarms going off. See, he's trying to pull one of

his sneak attack things on the alarms. He's trying to pull the equivalent of punching the

alarms in the stomach while in the pool, just like he did with steel. Mera, of course, curious about what the

problem is. Why isn't anyone there? Why isn't anyone guarding the headquarters? She probably knows

her husband's not a good leader. Aquaman gets a bad feeling about what's going on, and the feeling

even gets worse when he looks at the map on the computer screen. He says so. He says it's getting

worse, that bad feeling I mentioned.

You know what's making it worse? A map of Canada. He knows something is going on in Canada.

He doesn't like having to involve the Justice League of America and Canadian Affairs. No one likes

that. If you remember, Amazos on the loose in Canada, ripping apart towns.

His mind's been fused with that of an angry drunk prospector who's wrecking everything.

The other Justice League members have been captured and thrown to a pit with a boulder over the top of it.

We cut to that very boulder with the bear nearby.

There's so many bears in this Canada.

Deep within the pit, Vixen is the only member of the Justice League awake.
