The beginning of the issue is a bit of a fable.

Actually pretty confusing if you don't know what you're opening up to.

It's the story of the

Anasi, the spider, a god in Africa who tried to take all the wisdom in the world. He tried to take it

from Batman and stuff it into a jar and then put it into a tree. And then his precocious child

taught him a lesson about knowledge and he sprinkled it around the earth. Now you might be asking, what does this have to do with the story?

Oh, it's got a lot to do with it, sort of, in a very tangential way

that wasn't really necessary to have these two pages, but kind of cool to have them in there.

Though for being a spider god, it does look like just sort of a creepy guy with six arms.

Back to the more conventional comic book storytelling, though.

At the secret headquarters of the Justice League in Detroit,

we see Superman confronting Aquaman about the fact that Aquaman disbanded the league

while Superman Wonder Woman in the Flash were gone.

Akaman's starting to sputter about some reasons about what he did.

Steele calls Flash twinkle toes, so it's a little confrontational going on in this room.
