Welcome back for Justice League of America number 191, the June 1981 issue entitled

The Key Crisis of the One Man Justice League, written by Jerry Conway with art by Rich Buckler and Pablo Marcos,

Our roll call for this issue is Black Canary, Elongated Man, the Adam, the Flash, and Zatanna.

We open up this issue with our old Justice League foe, the key, one of my

favorite characters. The key is rescuing Amazo, another one of the old Justice League

enemies from his orbit around the earth. If you do not know, Amazzo was an android created by

Dr. Ivo to fight the league. His power is not know, Amazzo was an android created by Dr. Ivo

to fight the league. His power

is his ability to absorb the powers

of the league. The key is

a guy who uses the word

key constantly and understands

key science, whatever that is. He makes

mention of that. I don't quite understand what key

science is. The key, though, is one of my favorite villains. He's become one of my favorite villains over time.

We'll get a little bit more to that later. But I don't think the creepy modern version does

justice to the sort of dangerous slash pathetic version of the key that I so dearly love from this time period.

The last we saw of Amazo wasn't in this issue. It was in Action Comics 480. Amazo had attacked

his creator, Dr. Ivo, because Amazzo was tired of being manipulated to fight people beyond his control.
