Tom versus the Flash number 332 or, if only Hal Jordan's friends knew what he was really thinking.

0:07.7

Welcome back for the Flash number 332, the April 1984 issue, featuring a cover pencil by Carmen Infantino, inked by Dick Giordano.

0:15.5

With the issue being edited by Carrie Bates, of course, our story is, Defend the Flash, and I?

0:21.1

Written by Carrie Bates, penciled by Carmen Infantino, inked by Frank McLaughlin, letter by Phil Felix, colored by Carl Gafford. We begin the Flash is on the phone with his attorney, Peter Farley. Someone booby-trap Peter Farley's office with not very well-hidden dynamite. It exploded. The flash, here's the explosion. We see Peter

Farley's desk exploding, chair exploding, him getting blown back. The flash drops the phone

running out of the phone booth into a desert with palm trees. That section of Florida, where he was.

0:50.3

What's he doing in Florida? He had to stop and save a UN diplomat. That's what happens. Why was the UN diplomat in Florida? His plane crashed. Enough with your questions. All we know is the flash just ran past some palm trees. He's got to get to Peter Farley's office to save him from the explosion. Does he have time? Will he get there quick enough? We see the flash dashing across the countryside worried because even at his speed

he may not get there in time. He finally gets to Peter Farley's office, which is no longer a log

cabin like we saw last issue. It's not made out of brick. They can afford a brick now. We see the

1:22.7

explosion ripping the side of the building wide open. We see the flash running up the side of the

1:26.4

building, running into the room as is exploding. He's keeping up his internal vibrations so that the

1:31.3

explosion passes through him. He sees Peter Farley, who's just been hit by the first

1:35.4

shockwave from the explosion. But the biggest one is going to arrive in just 0.009 seconds.

1:41.4

So he still has time to save Peter Farley. He's getting carried away

1:44.6

by this explosion. Flash grabs him, pushes him through the wall while vibrating him so that

1:50.6

the explosion passes through him and he passes through the wall. It's enough to keep Peter from getting

1:55.2

more seriously. Heard his chair has just destroyed that fine leather chair. Ah, an attorney's chair.

2:01.2

That's the quality of the leather chair we're talking about here.

2:04.4

Wrecked, smashed on the sidewalk.

2:06.3

Peter Farley's alive, but he seems to be seriously hurt from just the first shockwave of the explosion.

2:12.0

Flash running down the street, carrying Peter Farley worried, is anyone that's going to defend him going to be a target?

2:19.0

What's he going to do in that case?
