Tom versus the Flash number 317 or I actually want to read the comic that goes with this cover.

Welcome back for the Flash number 317, the January 1983 issue featured a cover pencil by Carmine and Vandino, inked by Rodin Rodriguez, with the issue being edited by Ernie Colon.

This cover has got nothing to do with this book.

And this just leads me to believe more and more that this eradicator storyline was somehow one

giant mess. Because I'm assuming that's Mac, Barry's neighbor on the cover. It's a kid with

like a broken leg on crutches. On one's Barry Allen one side's the flash and you see

it super speedy switching back and far between him and the kid seems very sort of like

apprehensive about Bear but excited to see the Flash this doesn't happen in this issue

nothing even close to that happens in this issue it's very strange how these covers became

very separate from what was going

on inside the issue. I mean, The Flash has always been one of those books where the cover was at least

related to what happens inside the book. And it gets back to that very much within the next couple

issues, which really makes me think something strange was going on when they were coming up with this eradicator storyline that they didn't have a follow-up or the editorial was all messed up with what they were doing and they were rushing through stuff.

It just, we'll get to some more stuff in a little bit that I think also sort of leads credence to my weird feelings about this story.

Well, our story is A Fast Way to Die.

Now, you might be familiar with that name because there is another Flash issue that went

by the name of Fast Way to Die.

Way back in Flash number 270, a recycled name.

Written by Carrie Bates, pencil by Carmine Infantino, inked by Dennis Jensen,

letters by Philip Felix, colorist is Thomas Zuko. Zuko. We begin underwater. The flash tied to an

anchor, goldface gloating. Remember the last issue? Goldface got pinned on in water, time to do an

anchor just sort of slapping him around. Well, now, the flash is run out of time. He's just seconds from death. Goldface has got what he wanted. Tons the Flash, he's going to let Green Lantern go. Know that the Flash really put up a nice fight. But Goldface has got to go run a crime syndicate, so he's got to make a break. Forty-go floats up to the surface at this point. The flash opens his eyes.
