Our story in this issue is Double Dose of Danger, written by Carrie Bates,

Frank McLaughlin, colored by Jerry Serpent, featuring the elongated man. It's been so long since we've seen an elongated man in this book. It will be good to have him back. In fact, we start with his wife explaining the action. She seems to be telling a story in the past tends to someone, involving why her and Ralph Dibney

and Longgated Man are in Central City.

City Inn. It's three-star hotel. It's not the type of level that the Dibneys are used to,

but it's Central City. This is Middle America, my friends. This isn't one of your coastal hotels. This is where Americans stay,

you know, red-blooded, right-thinking Americans. So they had just checked in. Ralph had gone out to

get a newspaper, so Susan, in the room by herself. She explains that she was trying on some new

lipstick when she heard someone walking in. We see all of this happening as well. But it's not Ralph that's walking in.

Sue thinks it is. But it's a suspicious-looking man. A gangster, we can tell. From the suit,

the face has the features of a gangster. The traditional DC universe gangster features sort of

a loose face.

That's very handsome.

Sue is, of course, shocked when she turns around.

She's expecting Ralph to be able to ask him about her lipstick.
