Welcome back to the Flash number 186, the March 1969 issue entitled Time Times 3 equals

if you're not familiar, equals two dashes and a question mark written by Mike Friedrich,

and featuring a disturbing cover by Ross Andrew and Mike Esposito.

Disturbing two children finding what appears to be the corpse of the Flash,

a skeleton wearing the Flash's costume in a whole nightmare. That's horrific, but we'll get to that in a second.

We start at the Allen household where Barry has returned to find Iris cooking dinner.

Barry is tired. He sits in his chair. He's exhausted along the week at work. I know what

that's like. Paperwork, people on

your back constantly. You're the last link in the chain and everyone needs you to do everything

right away. Barry must feel that. Iris urges him to go on a vacation and he's got a week of

vacation left. So where should they go? Well, Iris can't go.

She has to cover a big convention for the picture news, so Barry should go on by himself.

Of course, he's a leery of leaving Iris alone, but she explains that he can travel through time.

You can leave, take a week off, and come back at the same time that he left.

Time travel, just a big vacation. I wish I could do that. So Iris does her job. Barry,

Barry does it. He throws on the costume, gets on the cosmic treadmill, disappears, then reappears

right at the same moment. He went to a recreation site in the 23rd century. Had a fantastic time. Now he's relaxed. Got a little bit of sunburn. He doesn't tan. Barry's not a tanning man. He gets burnt like me. He's fair-skinned. Well, as they're walking back into the kitchen, Barry suddenly is seized by some sort of pain, causing him to scream

and fall to the ground. We then cut to a nearby hospital. Iris obviously stripped the costume

from Barry, put his suit on him, unless he had the suit on underneath the flash costume. Either
