Welcome back to the Flash number 184, the December 1968 issue entitled Executioner of Central City,

You're about to hear about the most tragic day in the life of the flesh up to this point. Worse things will happen to him. But it's a pretty bad day. I think it ends all right, though. We start the Mount Vista ionospheric observatory, just outside of Central City.

It's a giant antenna array. It's kind of like setty, you know, where they monitor space for mysterious signals.

Well, they also pick up energy signals. The place is headed up by a Dr. Clark.

And one of the things they do there is they're looking for pulsars.

And those are sons that get off rhythmic beats of energy.

Well, they only know of four, but all of a sudden one of the technicians freaks out

is getting Dr. Clark over there because they've picked up a new energy burst, a new pulsar,

10 billion times greater than all the power generated on Earth.

Well, in Central City, we see Iris needs the car for the day to go up to Mount Vista Radio

She drops off Barry at the police station so we can get to work.

They have some hip Frank Robbins talk back and forth to each other, mention of space dust

Sounds like something the kids would have been into.

We didn't see Iris at the observatory talking to Dr. Clark.

They have some more hip talk between them.

Dr. Clark lets on that something very unusual is going on.

The same technician that noticed the burst earlier has just gotten verification from

the Mount Everest station. Where is it on Mount Everest? There's no station I'm on the guest in the DC
