third identity. We open in Barry Allen's Central City apartment. He's hanging out on the couch,

but he's not relaxed. He's worried. A couple weeks back, he had been on a mission with the Justice League to another planet, which happened a lot if you read the Justice League stories, and the top escaped from prison.

It's significant that Barry mentions the Justice League because this is the first time the Justice League has been mentioned in the flash at all.

And it's a little bit of continuity starting to sneak in.

A couple weeks back when the top escaped, the Flash came back,

he's been hunting around town for him,

finally found him robbing the city treasury,

and no one locks anything up in Central City.

Went to grab him, chased him down, grabbed him by his, you know, nifty

pajama outfit. Problem is the top started spinning, spinning so fast that the uniform ripped away

from him so the flash didn't have a grip on him, and he spun off in the darkness, and the flash

couldn't track him down. I never knew that spinning was so effective of a technique of escaping

the law. The top has obviously mastered it. So this is what's been bothering Barry Allen.

All they got was a piece of fabric from the top. So he's in his apartment and he said,

I'm going to watch some TV. I'm going to be entertained. Perhaps Dream Girl was on. Or maybe the news

will have some sort of lead on where the top is, but he needs a lead. And if I was the flash,
