Story, kind of, is the monster that loved Aqua Jimmy, featuring art by Al Plastino.

This is barely an Aquaman story. It's in the showcase, so I'm going to cover it, and it's

an awesome Jimmy Elson story, but it's Jimmy Olson Stories. stories have a tendency to be pretty sweet, even though

there's very little Aquaman in it, and it features mostly Jimmy in an Aquaman costume with Aquaman

Powers. We will allow it on the podcast because we always air on the side of fun. That is,

that's just how I roll with this show. I'm always going to do the fun thing.

Let's get right to the fun story. We begin outside the Daily Planet. Jimmy Olson leaving after a hard day of work. Guess who shows up? Superman needs Jimmy to come with him right away. He has a fascinating adventure lined up. He needs Jimmy's help en route to the fascinating adventure. Aquaman explains that he's about to head off to a planet and faraway space with Aquaman

to help some undersea culture on an alien planet that needs help from Aquaman,

but they can't leave the seas unmonitored.

So they need Jimmy Olson to fill in for Aquaman, which there's two things about this that I find interest.

Number one, Superman just goes to Jimmy for everything.

If he, let's say, he needed white out, I'm sure he would ask Jimmy Olson.

If he needed to borrow a grill, it would be Jimmy Olson.

He needs someone to fill in for one of the

Justice Lakers. It's Jimmy Olson. Jimmy Olson is always Superman's first contact for help.

And it turns out not to be awful all the time. And for Aquaman, I get why he wants Jimmy Olson.

So you get Batman in there. Batman's going to solve all the smuggling

problems in a day or two. Aquaman's pacing himself. He knows he's got a cushy job for life.

He's got that hammock in that cave with that lantern in that seashell chair, and he knows he can ride

...
