Tom versus Aquaman and Aquaman number 37 or Aquababy is a silky boy.

Our Aquaman story for today is When the Sea Dies, written by Bob Haney, featuring art by Nick Hardy. We begin, the Aqua family. The only ocean, the only water breather is in the ocean, which would make sense if you're a water breather. An ocean would be a great place to be, perhaps, a large lake. The Great Lakes chain would also be a good location, but they're in the sea. All the Atlanteans, remember, they now breathe air, and Atlantis is filled with air because of Aquaman's rather rash decision.

So they're out in the water playing Aqualads, tossing Aquababy through the water, just launching

them around letting Tusky their friend the Walrus catch him. Bear is concerned. She obviously doesn't want her son to get hurt

in this rough housing, but Aquaman's cool with it because as he says, you don't want him to be a sissy,

do you? Aquaman realizes you need to have a thick skin. You need to get down in the dirt and

scrap a little bit if you're going to be a good monarch. Of course, he could always just later in life, kick him out of Atlantis and force him to sleep in a

hammock in a cave, you know, learn the same way Aquaman did.

See, Aqualid launch Aquababy through the water. Tusky headbutts Aquababy, sending him

flipping onto the nose of Seamp, who flips him onto his back and then see him starts kicking

around with Aquababy holding on. I mean, he's gone buck wild. Finally, Aquababy can't hold on anymore.

Imps sends him flying through the water, just zipping along right towards an outcropping of rocks.

Aquababy's going to be smashed on the rocks.

Aqualad orders Tuskees to go forward. Tuskees racing towards him, but it's not going to be in time.

Aquabody's about to hit the rocks when a set of arms appears out of nowhere.

Well, it's attached to somebody. Obviously, hiding behind the outcropping of rocks.

Grabbs the baby. The baby recognizes it. says nice man's. And it's Ocean Master,

who is always around waiting to troll Aquaman. Aquaman's surprised to see him.

Aqualette starts to drop it some threats, and Aquaman will handle him. Aquababy is still

calling Ocean Master and Nice Man. Remember Remember they had some run-ins earlier.
