Tom versus Aquaman and Aquaman number 24 or Carla, why won't you just let someone love you?

Welcome back for Aquaman in Aquaman number 24, the November, December, 1965.

We begin in Atlantis, a beautiful idyllic scene of Aquaman tossing aqua baby around, Mara knitting, everyone

looks happy. Aquaman never wants to have to fight another enemy again. He just wants to play with

his kid. Mara's excited about that. There's someone who's not excited about Aquaman's lack of interest in fighting creatures,

and that's Aqualad, who sat in the corner realizing that this baby is really going to cut

down on their sort of paling around time, you know, the wrestling creatures time, which

Aqualad enjoy it.

He's very worried, but there's no actual reason for him to be worried.

It's just because Aquababy's shown up.

It doesn't mean that there's all kinds of problems not brewing somewhere in the ocean,

because we cut to a scene.

We cut to really the first attempt in an Aquaman book to create sort of a group of

bad guys to face Aquaman.

We start off with a woman with fiery hair and a familiar foe, the fishermen.

Obviously, the fishermen's got tremendous heat going with.

I mean, this is the greatest fear of an America raised in the height of the military

industrial complex, a man who's self-sufficient,

who throws a side-processed fish and catches his own fish, this hippie with these crazy

ideas about being able to live off the land. And wears a terrible, terrible outfit. We see
