He finally gets his own book.

It's Aquaman number one from January slash February in 1962, feature of cover by Howard Purcell, with the issue being edited by

Jack Schiff on our Aquaman story. The story of this Aquaman issue, it's exciting. Aquaman's got his own book,

but he also, he's also in backups. Aquaman's around a lot. Nick Cardi's doing a lot of art.

Our Aquaman story today is The Invasion of the Fire Trolls, featuring art by Nick Cardi.

We begin in Aquaman and Aquilads undersea layer, you know, where they got the hammocks and their one chair.

And they're just, they're doing some Sunday work, just the type of stuff.

It's like a honey-do-do list.

Honey saw the rough edges off of that old ship's figurehead, which is what Aquaman's doing.

He doesn't like the rough edges on it.

It's like, it's a dragon from an old Viking ship, and he's just sawn off the more ragged

part so it looks better.

On Aqualads, honey-do list is putting together a dinosaur fossil for their own private museum, which is

selfish to hold such secrets to yourself. Topos, just dusting, which I don't even understand

how you do underwater, but that's what he's doing. There's a bunch of lanternfish just

hanging around. Something surprising happens, though. Strange happenings all around the cave

as all of a sudden Topo's tentacles start getting tied into knots,

which is usually something Aquaman does to Topo when he's been bad.

Then all of a sudden the figurehead starts bouncing around on its own,
