And we begin with Aquaman in a coastal town, a very unusual coastal town, one that was just a normal city six months ago.

Then a sea earthquake pushed a bunch of water on the shore, flooding the town.

And they immediately decided to change their name to

new venice you know because all the streets became canals that or it was called new venice beforehand

which is just a handy piece of foreshadowing for what happened to them so a choumah's just tooling

around the canals and new venice on top, noticing there's boats everywhere, there's garbage

everywhere, it's loud, it's changed a lot in six months.

And Aquana meets up with the mayor, and the mayor is freaking out.

The city has had a huge problem.

The problem being, of course, that the residents of the city were just barely good people.

They were all latent assholes. And the thing

that brought out the asshole in them is one of the great asshole catalysts of all time. Being a boat

owner will just bring out the worst qualities in any human being, the facetiousness of, I don't know,

actually, fastidiousness. facetiousness is not the

right word, the fastidiousness of the cleaning and how, you know, it's cool that just sort of

tool around in your boat and you're just sort of hanging out and you just got this general

attitude and you're super loud and you got too many people on your boat.
