Tom versus Aquaman and Adventure Comics number 247 or there is an A in team.

Welcome back for Aquaman and Adventure Comics number 247, April 1958 issue, feature a cover pencil by Kurtzwan inked by Stan K with issue being edited by Mort Wisinger.

And our Aquaman story is Aquaman Super C Squad,

featuring art by Ramona Frayden.

And I love this because this adventure comics number 247

also happens to be the first appearance of the Legion of Superheroes.

So this was the backup story in the same issue

that had the first appearance of

the Legion, a book that launched an entire fantastic team of characters, one of my favorite

sets of characters in comicdom. And this Aquaman story is in the back, and it's not a very good

Aquaman story, unfortunately. And it's been reprinted because of that. You know, they reprint entire old issues, like Millennium Editions.

So people are right in and were like, oh, these Aquaman stories aren't very good.

It is called Aquaman's Super C Squad.

So you'd think, okay, cool, Topo's going to get a costume.

He's using a squad now.

Squad has costumes.

I have to break it to you, none of the animals, none of the sea creatures get costumes.

They do get forced into menial work, though, so let's get straight to it.

Aquaman, out in the Pacific, just hanging out, riding Topo around, just chilling, sees a weird object fall from the sky crash into the water.

He's got to check it up, because that's what he does.

Swims down there, and it looks like a strange space probe with a dial on it with a pointer that's slowly moving towards a big red D, which isn't good.

And as Agueman says, it looks, it's threatening.
