This comic has maybe the best text sequence introducing what's going on that I've ever read

in a comic.

It goes as follows.

The famed Aquaman has always lent his expert assistance to TV shows, wishing to film

sea stories. He always has. That's just what he does. He loves TV. But now, instead of

sticking to a script, he proceeds to ruin one program after another for no apparent reason,

except to broadcast his mastery over creatures of the deep

indeed it isn't long before he's known as the show off of the sea i love the idea we just we know

throwing Aquaman around. He'll just do it. That's what he does. We begin on the high seas.

Passengers aboard an ocean liner see something shocking. It looks like a pirate ship.

It's not actually. Well, it is a pirate ship, it's not full of pirates. It's full of actors

because it's a popular TV show called You Saw It Happen. A TV show that reenacts famous fictional

nautical moments, the hottest TV show around. If you're going to do a TV show on the ocean,

Aquaman's going to show up. So you saw it happens, got a pirate boat out there.
