Summary

The UTD Podcast team spoke to recent signing Tom Heaton shortly after he returned to Old Trafford this summer.

The former Manchester United Academy goalkeeper is back at the club and we caught up with him in the days following his re-arrival, where he told us all about his experience coming through the ranks under Sir Alex Ferguson, and why he eventually had to seek first team football elsewhere.

The England international recalled playing back at Old Trafford for Burnley where he made a string of great saves, including a Zlatan Ibrahimovic strike that nearly broke his arm!

Helen, Sam and Maysie also read out your emails at the end of the episode. If you'd like to write to the only official Manchester United Podcast then e-mail utdpodcast@manutd.co.uk

If you'd like to listen through our back-catalogue, the best place to do that is over on the Manchester United App, where you can listen to and watch all of our episodes in full for free!

We'd also love it if you could leave us a rating and review wherever you listen to your podcasts.

Loving it.

0:13.5

Yes, loving it.

0:14.5

We know what you're thinking.

0:15.5

Why should I move my favorite podcast app all the way over to New York?

0:19.5

Well, two reasons.

0:20.5

Reason one is that you will get the podcast a whole 24 hours earlier.

0:25.0

And it's a really good reason.

0:26.5

That's 24 hours earlier than everywhere else.

0:28.5

And you can be first in line to hear every new episode.

0:31.5

Yeah, and reason number two is it allows us to bring you so much more than just the episode.

0:34.5

So if we talk about goals, you'll be able to see the goals within the app.

0:37.5

And you'll also see it associated articles and something a lot of people have requested.

0:41.5

You'll be able to watch more episodes of the podcast all in one place, which to me seems sensational.

0:46.5

But if you're not convinced and want to stay where you are, that's fine too.

0:49.5

We'll still bring you our pods right here every week as usual.

0:53.5

Right here, right now.

0:55.5

But also, if you're on the app, you won't have to sit through or telling you always every time.

1:00.5

That's good, isn't it?
