| 0:57.0 | It's pro-life law that takes steps to protect the lives of unborn human beings after a heartbeat is detected. |
| 1:07.0 | Essentially, what the law requires is that a woman considering an abortion, go in obviously for the doctor, and the doctor checks to see if there's a heartbeat. |
| 1:16.0 | Now, heartbeat can be heard as soon as six weeks, but it's anywhere from six to 12 weeks, you know, depending on the human being. |
| 1:23.0 | And if there's a heartbeat, the doctor isn't allowed to commit an abortion. |
| 1:28.0 | The life has to be protected. |
| 1:30.0 | And anyone who gets involved in committing an abortion on a human being and that has a heartbeat is subject to civil liability that can be pursued by individual citizens in Texas. |
| 1:42.0 | So it's not the government that prosecutes anyone. In fact, there's no prosecution. It's always civil. |
| 1:47.0 | There's no criminal case or sanction to a woman for committing an abortion or having an abortion or anyone else. |
| 1:54.0 | It's only civil liability. |
| 1:56.0 | I think that range is around $10,000. |
| 2:00.0 | So the left is apoplected because the law's gone into effect. |
