Emergency Tom Brady, conference call, post-game show.

I reached out, tried to say, hey, can I get a question in here?

And hopefully, Tom, we'll get back.

The only thing that I wanted to hear from him was how motivated he is. Otherwise, I think we had everything kind of answered in that conference call.

What struck you? Wouldn't anything else? Well, I think there were like three sections to this, right?

There was the, what's it going to look like now that you're a Tampa Bay Buccaneer. There was the how and why did you leave.

And then there's sort of the emotional impact of everything where he's talking about

Joe Montana watching him play his last game at Candlestick Park and the relationships

that he's built with everyone in the New England organization.

I honestly, Tom, the part to me, because we've been

over so much of the why he left the Patriot stuff and because I felt like he was really,

really reluctant to touch any of that other than to say, I met with Robert Kraft. We actually

spoke to Bill Belichick the same night, spoke to Jonathan Kraft as well, still have a great

relationship with those guys.

I was kind of interested to hear at how, to get to your point about the motivation,

it sounds like he's going to spend a lot of quote unquote time and energy getting this whole bucks thing down. He must have said that a dozen times, time and energy, time and energy, time and

energy. And we're going to jump into that right away because I think that is probably the biggest takeaway for a Patriots fan.
