That's the tale of a beaver splashing in the water, a sound that Tom Bowser will probably never tire of hearing. Back in 2021, he became the first private landowner in Scotland to legally relocate beavers.

Rather than the mammals being culled when they started causing serious agricultural damage,

he argued that they should be moved to areas where they could do good, such as at his farm, Argettee, near Doon.

Now he eventually got the go-ahead, but it was after a long and difficult battle, and it's

the subject of his new book called Waters of Life, fighting for Scotland's beavers.
