Depeak, Iowa. Police arrive at a home to find a frantic child carrying an unconscious

baby screaming for help. Emergency responders rushed the baby to the hospital. The child

suffers acute respiratory failure and is transferred to University Iowa Hospital. Officers learned

the baby fell into a bucket of bleach. Head submerged an unknown amount of time after a four-month investigation.

Police arrest parents Scott Markov 30, Madeline Markov, 28, facing charges of neglect

or abandonment of a dependent child, causing serious injury.

Nancy, both parents were distracted,

leaving their three children ages 6, 4, and 1 to their own devices in the squall at home.

One of the older children discovered the toddler in the bucket and brought his lifeless body to his

mother, who called 911. First responders found the home infested with mice and roaches,

littered with dirty diapers, and unsafe substances like the bucket of bleach, left accessible to the

children. The incident occurred four months ago, but police have just concluded their investigation,

resulting in charges for the Markovs. Both parents released on $20,000 bail. Colorado cops really had to hop to

it to catch this fugitive. Erwin, a red juvenile kangaroo, escapes his owner and is hopping
