Summary

Holding a Business Degree with an emphasis in marketing I worked in the corporate world for the first 15 years after graduating. It was at the end of those 15 years that I had the clear call of God on my life to enter vocational ministry and plant a church. So I quit my six-figure business career, the Senior Leadership Team of a $200M national healthcare company, and gave up my corner office. I burned the ships! I enrolled in Talbot Theological Seminary and graduated two years later. After graduating I planted a non-denominational Bible teaching church in 2006. I have watched it grow from 25 people in a backyard to celebrate Easter each year with over 5000 people, a permanent campus, and a multi-staff of over 70. My wife, Stacey, and I have been married for 34 years, have 3 married kids, and 2 grandkids. We still love each other and we love our church. My life story is the story of God's grace. Now I want to share some of the grace with other Lead Pastors.

0:30.4	Oh, man. We have found a sweet spot in terms of helping folks remember they're not alone, which is actually also why you
0:38.8	and I write books. But we've found so many people who are unnecessarily getting stuck when they
0:46.8	think about writing, when they approach that work. And we just, I don't think you and I are
0:52.0	united in this that we just don't feel like you should be.
0:54.7	We feel like it's better with friends.
0:56.1	And so you and I do some coaching together and we do writing retreats together.
1:00.9	And this is an outgrowth of those things so that people have tools in their toolbox and not just a blinking cursor telling them stories of doom.
1:10.5	Sometimes you'll listen to somebody who's very well spoken and you'll think that writing
1:16.1	is just for the smart kids.
1:18.3	Or you'll be reading Mad magazine and you'll think, look, writing is just for people that
1:23.3	don't have any education.
1:24.6	They don't have anything deep to say.
1:26.5	So I want to you as we like jump into
