The four astronauts will have traveled farther from Earth than any humans in history.

When they approach, the crew's Orion capsule will cut through the atmosphere at temperatures

around 5,000 degrees.

Damn.

Then after they splash down, U.S. Navy recovery teams will be quick to retrieve them for medical checks and return then to Houston.

This will mark the end of humanity's first crew lunar mission in more than 50 years.

Hopefully it all works out. Let's hope so.

California firefighters are testing out a device

that probably is going to be used a lot this summer that uses sound waves to put out flames.

It was developed by a former NASA engineer, and it works in milliseconds. The technology emits

low frequency infrasound that disrupts the chemical reaction the fire needs to burn.

Huh.

It'd be a better option in the future because it uses no water or chemicals, which means it avoid water damage and toxic residue.
