Yes indeed and today we toast one Steve Wilder of Omaha Nebraska.

Steve Wilder, now I what you would imagine this scenario.

He wakes up from a deep sleep and he realizes that a former throat cancer patient who's in

bed could not breathe. So it seems that their air passage had swollen shut. He did not

have time to call for help so he made the decision to perform a tracheotomy.

Oh, that's not good.

So keep in mind, he's not a doctor.

He has never performed a tracheotomy, but he grabbed a knife, located the proper spot, pushed in, and in Steve's words, quote,

blood came gushing out, but air was gushing in.

And believe it or not, he was successful

and the patient was later taken to the hospital for an actual medical tracheotomy.

Hmm. But the reason we're toasting him is because he performed the tracheotomy

on himself. Oh wow! Yeah, he's a former throat cancer patient. Anyway, he says he's dead asleep, wakes up because his air passage, completely swollen shut, doesn't know what to do, grabbed a knife, think about this, jammed it in his own neck or wherever you put, I don't know if it's here, under the Adams apple, whatever, right?

In his own freaking neck man, was able to start breathing again. I don't know what he put in there as a tube, maybe an empty ink pen top or something like that.

Yeah, called 911 and took him to the hospital.
