We're on a mission here to highlight different industries across the country that have been hurt over the last few decades because of free trade and then therefore would be

helped by what Donald Trump is doing right now. So yesterday we focused on the truckers. Today we

focused on the shrimpers. Dr. A.C. Cooper, president of the Louisiana Shrimp Association. And he was

a lot of fun. We'll play that interview in a second. But first, let's set the table here with our opening segment on what happened yesterday

and what the plan is now.

I'm going to do. Let us begin with Donald Trump's tweet last night.

Based on the lack of respect that China has shown to the world's markets, I'm hereby raising the tariff charged to China by the United States of America to 125% effective immediately.

At some point, hopefully in the near future, China will realize that the days of ripping

off the USA and other countries is no longer sustainable or acceptable.

Conversely, and based on the fact that more than 75 countries have called representatives of

the United States, including the Departments of Commerce, Treasury, and the USTR trade office,

to negotiate a solution to the subjects being discussed relative to trade, of Commerce, Treasury, and the USTR trade office, to negotiate a solution

to the subjects being discussed relative to trade, trade barriers, tariffs, currency manipulation,

and non-monetary tariffs, and that these countries have not, in my strong suggestion, retaliated

in any way, shape, or form against the United States. I've authorized a 90-day pause and a substantially

lowered reciprocal tariff during this period of 10% also effective immediately.

So two things happen.

We have a increase in China's tariff, 125%, decrease in tariff to everyone else to 10%.

This is important.
