Less fourth, 2021, sibling is your sister, your brother, can be a half-sister, a half-brother,

a step-sister, step-brother. Some people don't know the difference between half-and-step.

Half-sibling is when you share a parent, not two. A step-sibling is when you don't share

any parents, but you live in the same household like the Brady bunch. Greg and Jan were step-siblings.

I have two half-sisters and a half-brother from various different divorces and marriages and

kids with whom I share a parent. I have one sister who I share two parents with.

Three years older than I am. Approximately three years ago, she called me to tell me that

she had cancer. That's a call that many people have gotten. No one wants to get. You don't

really know what it means except that it's not going to happen in our family. Nothing bad is

going to happen. Yesterday, my sister passed away. I had a chance to say goodbye over the period of

weeks and months sort of a little bit like a flat-sword. You didn't know when the end was,

but you knew it was coming, but then the end came and it was quite sudden. Just the very end.

She had been obviously quite sick these last weeks or so. The last time I was able to go see her

was a few days ago. I thanked her for being a great big sister. I thanked her for always helping me.

The way my sister helped me, the way siblings help each other is that they have a history that no
