And then the breaking news that we're going to get into here, just a matter of seconds, the Tennessee Titans firing head coach Brian Callahan.

So Nick will wrap about all of that to begin the 4 o'clock hour coming up in 40 minutes.

James Franklin after a third straight lost by the Penn State Nittany Lions. Like everything that happened in baseball, Seattle, Mariners. I was at the freaking airport watching that 15 inning game against the Detroit Tigers, hell of a game. Mariners advanced to the ALCS, and then they followed up with a win last night. Bill, what's the number one story we need to know this afternoon? Well, Femmy, you just teased it there. Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan was

fired today after the Titans loss of Las Vegas Raiders 20 to 10. That touchdown came in

garbage time. They were down 20 to 3. And Femmy, no word yet, at least that I've seen on who

the interim head coach is going to be. But this is obviously

Cam Ward's rookie season. And interestingly enough, Cam Ward is now the fourth consecutive

number one overall pick at quarterback that has had their head coach fired midseason following

Caleb Williams, Bryce Young, and Trevor Lawrence. Yeah, I mean, that's just a horrendous stat right there. Like, you've got to set these kids up to actually succeed, man. They're giving them these coaches that are clueless. Urban Meyer with his shenanigans that was going on there. Then obviously, Iber Fluse last year and other, like Frank Reich, who couldn't even make it through a season like yeah the

whole thing has been really really bad and now you can add brian callahan on the top of the heap and

as nick has said earlier this season and i think we all agree with this one callahan's going to go down

as one of the worst coaches in NFL history like this was absolutely pathetic these one plus years
