We'll hear from Nick Costos as he wraps on the biggest topics from over the weekend in the National Football League.

The preseason is here. We got joint practice week going on.

A lot of the get the ones on ones, good on good, joint practices, preseason games, three of them Thursday, three of them Friday, eight of them on Saturday, two on Sunday. There is a lot of football that is headed our way. And it's a glorious, glorious time of the year. So we're absolutely fired up for that. So Nick will talk all things NFL in about 40 minutes, 20 minutes from now.

I'll give you a breakdown on the WNBA MVP as we got a curveball into that market after Nefisa Collier's ankle injury on Saturday. Still waiting on the timeline on that one. The links don't play until tomorrow. So I'm assuming we won't hear anything until tomorrow at shoot-around or before the game. But Nefisa Collier injured, left the game late in the third quarter as they blew the doors off the Las Vegas Aces. We'll also get into a National League rookie of the year with Jacob Mizorowski now on the 15-day IL. That's coming up in 20 minutes. A couple of awards that over the weekend really

cramped up at least in terms of the betting interest. So we'll wrap on both of those in about 20 minutes.

But before we get to our headlines for the day, wanted to pass this note along, because this is

over from On 3 that the NCAA voted not to expand March Madness past 68 teams for the 2025-26th

season. So that's just this year. What they do in 26, 27 or beyond, I think it's still up in

the air, but it sounds like we're going to have a 68 team March Madness this year. I know a lot

of people have been anti-expansion. I mean, I got to be honest, I'm pro-expansion

for the tournament. Give us some more games. Make that Tuesday and Wednesday a little bit beefier

of a card as opposed to just the two games in Dayton and the two games on Wednesday, and then

you get the full experience Thursday and Friday. I'd like to see some more games in Dayton.

So that's just my opinion.

I'm clearly in the minority because I think a lot of people say, hey, we need to even decrease the tournament. Go back to 64 teams. Yeah, that's never happening, folks. So like, just relax on that. But that's just kind of how I feel about the tournament expansion. Not going to happen this year. So all the traditionalists, you got one more year until they expand that bad boy, which is probably going to happen this year so all the traditionalists you got one more year until

they expand that bad boy which is probably going to happen because guess what there's way too much

money on the table but with that being said let's go ahead and get to today's topics of the day and

we mentioned at the top of the show bill zimmerman living the lake life on a pontoon drinking beer

so filling in for billy z as our executive producer all week long is is the great Tyler Morales who's joining me right now to give us today's headlines. Tyler, how you doing? What do you think about that? Expansion of the tournament is put on hold at least for this upcoming college basketball season. I know it's a sport that you know and love and have a really good relationship with right now after what happened this past March Madness.
