Well, Hamdu l-illahi and all praise is definitely due to Allah.

Was Salatu wa Salamu ala Rasulillah, may blessings and salutations of the Almighty be upon the messenger,

Muhammad peace be upon him. Wa a'ala a'lihi wa s-habi i-ajma'in,

his family, his household, his companions, all of them.

May Allah bless them, bless every one of you, bless every one of us,

those who are so fortunate to be fulfilling the Hajj.

We all know that in this year there is a uniqueness to the Hajj in that very few people have been selected randomly to fulfill the Hajj.

They are the fortunate ones, may Allah accept from them their worship, may Allah accept from them everything that they are going to be doing,

1:30.7

forgive their shortcomings and grant us all a benefit from the du'a that they will be making as well as every one of us.

1:38.7

But today I'd like to speak to you about the virtues of this beautiful day, day of Arafah.

I want to simplify it but I also want to bring in a little bit of history.

It's important for us to understand that when Allah created the earth,

1:52.7

He did not make all the places equal in terms of spiritual value.

1:58.7

But what He did is He made some places more virtuous than others in your town, in your city.

2:05.7

The most virtuous of places are the houses of Allah, the places where people put their heads down on the ground in prostration for He who made them.

2:14.7

That's a very valuable place, Al Masajid.

2:17.7

Wa anna al Masajid anil hai fa la ta'dum a Allahi a'adah.

2:25.7

Indeed those places of worship belong to Allah, so don't call out to anyone besides Allah in worship or in supplication.
