Texas Revolution

That's the spirit of our people.

It really is not It's not overblown, not being dramatic. I have long said what makes

Texas Texas. Unlike many places in the country and the world is not some beautiful mountain or ocean or river.

It's not even a famous fort or gold or oil.

It is the people and the spirit.

It really is.

It's different.

It's different than anywhere else.

On this day in 1836, the Texas Revolution, the Battle of the Alamo,

after a 13-day siege by an army of 3,000 Mexican troops, the 187 Texas volunteers,

including Davy Crockett and Colonel Jim Bowie defending the Alamo are

killed and the fort is captured.

When you think about what Texas stands for and what that battle stands for,

it is not overblown to tell you that that is what drove people to the

polls yesterday. That is what has just humbled the entirety of the money

class that have owned Texas politics and

and thought well the Republicans can always win everything.

The Republicans got this but now we can get our policies and we can impeach the Attorney General.

We can do to the state what Rodney Ellis has done to the Democrats in the county.
