Ben Garrett and Bradley Sowell needed a moment after Ole Miss' 28-10 win over Troy on Saturday.

Well, a full night, actually, and they're still processing the good and (sometimes very) bad from the 2022 season opener.

The Rebels were led by a dominant rushing attack and a stifling defensive effort, but all any of us can seem to talk about is the quarterbacks, specifically starter Jaxson Dart.

And for good reason. 

"His development is the difference between seven and ten wins this year," said Sowell, a former Ole Miss offensive lineman and eight-year NFL veteran.

Dart took every snap until the 12-minute mark of the fourth quarter, when he gave way to Luke Altmyer, who will start next week against Central Arkansas. 

Neither quarterback inspired all that much confidence, meaning the quarterback battle, frustratingly, drags on.
