Uplifting Wayfm, this is The Wally Show. And recently we had Toby Mac in to talk about his new album,

and there are songs on it like this one faithfully and there's a line that resonated with me

it's been a long year it almost took me down

because he has had so much tragedy in his personal life

that I had to kind of ask him how that affects

the way that he writes songs today.

When you're writing stuff for this new album, does all of that loss still play into this in the new stuff?

Or is there a point at which you're like, I've got to move forward?

I don't forget, but I've got to move forward.

That's a great question.

As an artist, especially, like, okay, in my life, it's just there always.

But as an artist, I want to write songs.

I want to move forward.

I want to move ahead.

You're so affected by it that you can't help but, you know, talk about it a little bit.

It's a part of your life now.

But I've come to the reality of I believe.

That's what happened.
