This boy's life, what seems to be possibly the first volume of a memoir by Tobias Wolfe, came out this month.

It's Mr. Wolfe's first venture into nonfiction. His previous books have been the books of stories in the Garden of the North American Martyrs and back in the world. He's written a novel, The Barracks Thief, that won the Penn Faulkner Award, and he's edited an anthology

of contemporary fiction called Matters of Life and Death, published by a small press, I believe,
