At the top of this podcast you heard Anessia Cromichookook the director of the Ukrainian Institute in

London saying our usual intro to this show coming up on choppers politics but

this time in Ukrainian and the war in Ukraine is a theme of

this podcast later will be hearing from Alessia and her reaction to what's

happening in her homeland and how the West has responded.

who's leading the charge on the Tory bat benches

for it to be easier for those fleeing the conflict to come to the UK.

But first, the first reaction to seeing a bloodshed in Ukraine is how on earth can this end.

And the only person you can do that is Vladimir Putin, hundreds

of miles away in Moscow. What's troubling Western leaders right now is what will stop

him. So I thought to get in handle on how Russian leaders

might think and how the end might come. I spoke to Lord Owen, David Owen, the former

Labour Foreign Secretary who has met many former

Soviet and Russian leaders to get his perspective. Lord Owen you were Foreign
