Summary

Welcome to our voter education series for queer women: Made It Out (to the polls), in collaboration with LPAC. This limited series will air on Thursdays for 4 weeks, but we wanted to share an episode on our regular Tuesday slot to show you what it's about. This episode, Vermont State Representative Becca Balint discusses Project 2025 - she explains what it is, how real of a threat it is to the LGBTQ community and what we can do to stop it. This episode also includes cameos from Jacqueline Toboni, E.R. Fightmaster and Lexi Dussi to explain some political concepts! We want Made It Out (to the polls) to be a safe, collaborative and engaged space where we can all discuss so we invite conversation in the comments but, as always, we ask that you do so with care. This series is a collaborative project between Made It Out Media and LPAC, and was produced by Mathilde Jourdan, Jacqueline Toboni and Michelle Atwood. The episode was edited by Mathilde Jourdan with cameos edited by Rachel Samples and Amber Rivera. Thank you for watching!! things like I don't care about politics, I don't want to think about it, it doesn't

0:49.7

really affect me, and I really didn't even realize what a privileged stance that was to take

0:56.0

but luckily I had my little sister Haley who was very determined on checking me and helping me to understand that we need to care

1:07.1

about issues that affect us issues that affect other people and that the learning doesn't stop there and the hard conversations

1:15.2

are had. So I really hope that made it out to the polls is a safe place for you to

1:21.5

start your learning and open the door to conversation

1:24.7

just like my little sister gave to me. Each episode will feature an L. Pack endorsed

queer politician who will teach us the social and political issues that

1:34.6

are at stake in the upcoming election.

And before you get nervous, know that we want to make this as accessible as possible.

And I know that when you start to hear political jargon,

1:45.0

it can get really easy to just check out.

1:48.7

So we recommend you watch our series on Spotify or YouTube because we're going to use graphics and

1:54.8

text and visuals so that we can help guide understanding and we also have
