1:26.0 | In fact, they're exhausted. And I think right now it's really up to a lot of us to do a lot of the work. |
1:38.0 | I think a lot of this is hitting me because I mean, if you guys have been listening to the podcast lately, all I've talked about is using this isolation, using the fact that we're stuck in our homes to really figure out who you are. |
1:52.0 | And in that time when something like this happens with George Floyd, Maude Aubrey and Brianna Taylor and countless others, it just kind of makes me in this time where I'm doing all this self reflection and doing all the starving into myself. |

2:21.0 | I went back and I thought about all the years of Simons and Lufko and I'm going to be very honest. |
2:28.0 | Every time that I refer to a black athlete as a beast, every time that I refer to as a black athlete as a freak, I'm hurting black people because all I'm doing is pushing these narratives. |
2:42.0 | I will admit that, man, I've been at Bleacher Port now for six years, six and a half. And I love this company. |
2:52.0 | But I will admit as this company has grown very rapidly, especially as of late, because I've been working a lot and that's not a great excuse. |
3:01.0 | I've put my face down, my head down, and I have been paying attention to a company that talks about bridging the gap between sports and culture and what I know what they're saying is black culture. |
3:15.0 | And I don't know if I've been as supportive as I should have been for black voices in this organization. |
3:23.0 | And when I tell you that I am working with people right now, Bleacher Report, and I am here not to take their message and make it my own, but to amplify it, I'm telling you I'm doing the work. |
