A few episodes ago when we discussed Kick the Can, we pondered whether a show that wears its message so obviously on its sleeve had any other aspects to it. Thankfully, we found that it did. When we come to

tonight's Twilight Zone, we ask a similar question. If an episode is so heavily identified with its twist ending

that the actual wording of that twist ending

enters the public consciousness

and becomes shorthand for twist endings themselves

or sudden outbreaks of panic,
