So you had the Ian Rappaport scoop on NFL Network pregame yesterday. Yeah, well, sort of. The guy who hasn't been fired and hasn't been talked about being fired. Joe Shane. No inside the organization ever suggests that he's being fired. Guess what? He's not being fired. So not a scoop. I didn't think so. All right. Well, enough that Pat Leonard decided to follow up with some league sources after this came out. so he did some sort of post game.

So he reported on the report. Streaming. Well, yeah, he went to check it out. Absolutely. He took to whatever platform this was. I saw the video on social media after the Giants did go out and beat the Raiders in Las Vegas. And he checked with his sources who indicated that is indeed the case on

Shane. Shane has been and is conducting himself as if he is coming back, preparing to interview

head coaching candidates, continuing to spearhead the organization's scouting process into the

offseason for the draft. Joe Shane is acting as if he is coming back as the giant general manager.

Which I guess you would do until you're told otherwise.

Right.

But the whole thing about he's good through the draft is a little bizarre.

Yeah.

I mean, they cannot fire him.

They can allow him.

You couldn't allow him to conduct the draft and then let him go.

I know the Jets did it with McCagnin. That's not exactly the example you want to follow. That's what, like, they can't do that. And quite honestly, and I've said this a lot, I want Joe Shane gone. I don't think Joe Shane has done a good enough job to keep his job. I don't know if they're going to have the first overall pick, the second overall pick, but either that pick or the trade they make out of that pick is the most important decision they will make in the next three or four years, barring more disaster and more top picks. Well, isn't the first pick off the table now, regardless? No. If they lose the Dallas and the Raiders beat the Chiefs, they would get it again. Yes. Even though the Giants beat the Raiders? Correct. Head to head is not part of the time. Strength of schedule. That's stupid. And then it becomes about strength of schedule that if those two games play out and the Jets lose, right now they're all within a couple thousandths of a point.

Any of those teams could end up with it.

But, yeah, so it's still up for grabs that they could have the first pick, make a look at all. I don't think. The excitement of week 18. Three hours and 28 minutes. I honestly did not realize that. That's all right. So it's a lot of math. Yeah. Well, because nobody expects the ratings to win.

They didn't try to win this game.

They won't try to win the next one.

And I don't expect them to win somebody. But the chiefs are stripped down.

Not good. I was reading. Well, because nobody expects the Raiders to win. They didn't try to win this game. They won't try to win.

But the chiefs are stripped out for the stunts here. But they'll try and win, I would think. And Kelsey's last game, probably, right? He's got to go out there and try and win. They already played the last game in Kansas City. yeah we don't know in Vegas I think
