Summary

Throughout history, mankind has been on the move from one location to another.

And there's lots of reasons for this.

You know, it could be because of poverty, hunger, crime, oppression,

But it's kind of rare to hear as someone who wants to do the reverse, you know, go from a country where they seem to have everything to a place where people are starving and there's few job opportunities and people are even imprisoned for their political beliefs.

Well, back in the 1930s, a British man named Brian Grover made international headlines for wanting

to do just that.

He spent nearly five years of his life attempting to move to the Soviet Union just as World

War II was heating up.

And his reason for doing so, well, he did it for love.

And with each passing year his desperation for the woman that he adored, it just grew stronger and stronger, but he is repeatedly denied entry into the Soviet Union.

Ultimately, he devised the plan to see her, and it's one that he knew would most likely

end in his death or if he survived, he could spend years in a Soviet prison.

It was the kind of reckless idea that one might think only a madman would attempt, but I have
