Welcome, this is S.V. Pod alongside Stanford. Steve, I'm Scott Bampel. So there's only one

place to start this week after last week. And that's some Otis, the dog talk. Last week

Steve, you know me a long time. That's as hard a week as I've had. And you and I

unfortunately both know loss. And this isn't about quantifying, like losing

folks is different, okay? But I got to tell you, I don't know what's ever been

more difficult than finding out that my guy was going to make it which we found out. And knowing

that and the weight of that, it crushed me. It was like a bomb went off in my soul. And I was

warned by people about what it was like and no one sugar coded it. And I'm not going to

sugar code it for anybody out there. It's bad as you hear it is. It's worse. And I'm not trying

to, you know, I'm just telling you what it is because it's that bad. And it's that bad because

it was that good. And that's what I tried to relate in the piece that we did on the show.

About Otis. And you know, just you got to get to that point where you can let him go. And I swear

to God along the way my guy let me know you can let me go. And that's what a gift they, they,

they, he is my and I think we do this thing in life, Steve. And I think I know I did it with my

pop, you know, I think I think when you lose people, I, or when you lose anything that you love,

I think you look for signs to rationalize it. I don't know if you've, I don't know if you've

ever experienced that where you try to tell yourself there's some cosmic sign or something. Yeah.

And maybe it's bull. Maybe you're just doing it to try to make it something that that's just

destroy your entire existence that, that it's somehow, well, maybe, you know, he was let me know.

I don't know, but I really felt like he was telling me that you can, you can let me go here.

And we did. And, and it was such an awful week. And it was so sad and it's debilitating. And
