My name is Cameron Buckner and this is the What If It's True Podcast.

The first story in this podcast is UFO related, the writer's name is Sue and she claims

the story is true. She writes, when I was 13 years old sometime in the mid 1960s, one

of my best friends came to spend the night with us. It was a school night which was a

little unusual but my friends parents were having some problems so my mom took her in

for the night and that was just fine with us. It was dark outside by this time and the

shade was pulled down over the window next to my bed. We were lying across my bed looking

at a teen beat magazine and we were talking and giggling. In mid conversation we heard a strange

sound out the window. It seemed to come from the street diagonally from the back of our yard

and on the next street over. It sounded like sounds that had been recorded coming from the sky.

This sound was like a trumpeting and screeching noise that I associated with a semi-truck

coming to a stop. I thought why would there be a big truck on our neighboring street so I

tugged on my window shade and it rolled up quickly. The first thing I noticed were red lights but

they weren't from a truck parked on the street. They were in the corners of a large trying

object well above the street and parallel to and a little above my neighbor's house across the

way. My friend and I gasped staring open mouthed at this thing in fear. I reached up for the shade

and pulled it back down and we looked at each other and we said what the heck was that?

And then we heard that screeching noise again and I snapped open the shade again and it was gone.

I don't remember discussing it much with my friend. We were stunned at what we had seen and I

don't recall telling my parents or the rest of my family about this. At that time seeing

anything so out of the ordinary was treated as suspect so along with the other strangeness I had

experienced in my short life it was relegated to the recesses of my mind. I had either dreamed it
