Meet Amanda Monthei, a hotshot wildland firefighter and creative who has made it her mission to empower women and all qualified firefighters to know there is space for them in wildland firefighting. We spoke to Amanda about her path to fighting fires as well as her project “The Women Before Me” that celebrates the women of the Zig Zag hotshot crew, the legacies they humbly left behind, and the qualities they brought to the US Forest Service.

She Jump's increases the participation of women and girls in outdoor activities to

foster confidence, leadership, and connection to nature and community.

We do this through free and low-cost

outdoor education and everything we do is mission-based and designed to create

chances for people to jump in, try something new, jump up, get better at something or jump out and give back. This is Claire Smallwood, the

She Jumps is excited by the challenge of examining their programming through the

lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion. If we're doing an event, how easy is it

for someone that's never ever participated to come to that event? and then as well are we looking at all

of the accessibility pieces and when it comes to the skill level required the equipment

And then as well, looking to create more affinity spaces,
