0:26.6	great friend, Laura Lippman, who we adore. We often say as a patron saint of this podcast,
0:32.5	first, you should know that to die for is a 1995 film directed by Gus Van Sant and written by
0:39.6	the uh, just illustrious Buck Henry. And it's based on the novel of the same name by Joyce Maynard,
0:46.0	which itself was inspired by the story of Pamela Smart. We talk about all this in the episode. I
0:50.8	just wanted to give you a heads up. In the movie, we have Nicole Kidman, Joaquin Phoenix, Matt Dillon,
0:56.9	Alina Douglas, Wayne Knight, Kerwood Smith, Dan Hydea, and more. With Laura, we talk a lot
1:04.2	about all these individual characters, particularly Joyce Maynard. Laura is a journalist and author
1:10.3	of over 20 detective fiction novels, believe it or not. So I saw Laura when I was in Baltimore
1:17.0	months back when things felt like they may have been getting better. I had the opportunity to
1:24.4	sue Laura. It was great. And I just recalled in this conversation talking with Laura and just
1:29.6	heard not knowing how many books she'd read. That's how prolific and author Laura is. Her latest
